Director of Radiation Oncology and Imaging
Education:
Caring for others is Martha’s passion. And she’s always believed that there is more to caring for someone than treating an ailment. As a registered nurse, she made it her mission to build relationships and partner with patients, to get to know them and work together with them to achieve and maintain their health goals. As the Director of Radiation Oncology and Imaging at New York Oncology Hematology, she is proud to be an advocate for a more humane approach to care across the medical field. And she is honored to have the opportunity to partner with the women of the Akira community to advance a women’s imaging model that values the experience of each patient above all else, and sets an example of how kind healthcare can be when it’s got its priorities straight. In her free time, Martha volunteers with organizations like Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to serve children victimized by abuse and neglect, and Bridges Out of Poverty, a program designed to help individuals, families, and communities find financial stability.
She also enjoys golfing, listening to her daughter play the electric cello, and any vacation that allows her to forget the day of the week–preferably while staring at the ocean with her feet in the sand.
